1. Introduction

Welcome to DeepResearch Docs. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

2. Use of Service

DeepResearch Docs provides a tool for converting markdown text to PDF documents. You may use this service for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

We use Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor, to handle all subscription payments. By subscribing to our service, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.

3.1 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Your billing anniversary date is set to the date you initially subscribe. Unless you cancel your subscription before your next billing anniversary date, your subscription will automatically renew and you authorize us to charge your payment method for the next billing period.

3.2 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your paid period
  • No refunds will be issued for partial months or unused periods of your subscription
  • After the billing period ends, your account will revert to the free tier

3.3 Account Deletion

If you choose to delete your account:

  • Any active subscriptions will be immediately cancelled
  • No refunds will be issued for the current billing period
  • All your personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems
  • This action cannot be undone

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that you have the right to use, convert, and download any content you process through our service.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your data and understanding that we do not permanently store your content.
  • Using the service in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring you have appropriate legal basis for processing any personal data contained in the content you submit (if applicable).

4. Data Protection and Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. By using our service, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

If you are submitting content containing personal data of others, you warrant that you have the right to do so and that you have obtained any necessary consents.

In accordance with data protection regulations, when you delete your account:

  • We will permanently delete all your personally identifiable information (PII)
  • This includes but is not limited to: your email address and profile information.
  • Any data required to be retained for legal or accounting purposes will be anonymized and kept only for the legally required period
  • Deletion requests are processed immediately and cannot be reversed

5. Intellectual Property

Our website and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DeepResearch Docs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

You retain all rights to the content you process through our service. We do not claim ownership over any content you convert to PDF using our tool.

6. Limitations of Liability

In no event shall DeepResearch Docs, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the service;
  • Any content obtained from the service; and
  • Unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.

7. Disclaimer

Your use of the service is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. However, this will not affect your statutory rights if you are a consumer and applicable consumer law requires application of another law for certain topics.
